Anchorage Flight Training

Learning to fly a helicopter and successfully acquiring your pilot rating is a rewarding and gratifying experience. At Tanalian Aviation we’re proud to offer flight instruction for private, commercial, instrument, certified flight instructor and instrument instructor as well as vertical reference ratings. Our instructors have hundreds if not thousands of flight hours logged with experience in a various helicopter models. Our R44 & AS-350 (AStar) aircraft are excellent helicopters to learn to fly in but we can also accommodate instruction in any privately owned helicopter.

Safety is our top priority, we are locally owned business with meticulous, in-house maintenance and highly experienced pilots. With over 20 + years in Alaska aviation experience we are dedicated to our craft and sharing our knowledge with future pilots! Introductory Flight R44

30 min. ground & 30 min. flight –  $260


Ground Instruction



Dual Flight Instruction R44

Raven – I $535

Raven – II $550


Advanced Flight Training R44

(Full down auto-rotations, Mountain flying, External load)



Turbine transition course AS-350

(3 hours in a AS-350, 5 ground hours including 2 Simulator hours)


Add-On Minimum Requirements

Private Add-On Minimums

  • 20 hours dual
  • 10-hour solo

Commercial Add-On Minimums

  • 10 hours solo
  • 35 hours PIC
  • 50 hours – helicopter
